Absolutely. Should have stayed silent, as should several others.

This thread has gone far beyond OT, to OL (off list) in the
classification scheme proposed a week or so back to let the majority of
us who are here for discussion of Pentax and photography to filter out
what we view as irrelevant, and a waste of time and bandwidth.

Not so. As a few people have indicated, while some OT threads can be
interesting, they do not want to wade through political or religious
debates here. That is want some of us fine offensive.
