Just the contrary. It is calibrated for negative film, hence it overexposes.
Then why doesn't my MZ-5n overexpose slides?
I've found my MZ-5n to be *neutral*. It neither overexposes or underexposes. The images are faithful to how my eyes saw the scene. Bright sunny days comes out bright and sunny. Glooming, boring, grey days comes out just as boring as they actually were when the image was shot.
Same thing with the MZ-5 that I had previously.
