Boris, I've been pretty active on eBay over the past two years as member
jim.xyz (145) 100%. I've even become a Bronze PowerSeller for the past four
months, but that'll soon change as I'm almost out of stuff to sell. The
only problems I have had as a seller are bids from members with zero
feedback and one item which was lost in shipping. My auction terms state
that members with less than 10 positive must contact me for my OK to bid,
which I invariably give. The first 'buyer' for the LX system I recently
auctioned had zero feedback, but I didn't complain when he bid without
asking first. The bid was bogus and I lost a lot of valuable time. The
next time I got a direct bid from a zero feedback member, I cancelled it and
there were no negative consequences. I'm currently in the midst of an
insurance claim with Canada Post for a lost parcel. I'm confident that it
will work out OK, as I keep good records of all shipping paperwork and
receipts until after I get the buyer's confirmation that it was received.

I've developed a consistent process for describing the item and the
conditions for the auction, which you can figure out by looking at recent
auctions 7510989068 7510991464 7508029226 7518165518 7519941586 It takes
extra effort to be this specific, but I think it's worthwhile,

I accept a variety of payment options, but PayPal is by far the most common.
You won't miss too many buyers if you use PayPal only. BTW, I've found that
the PayPal "Confirmed" address procedure is very unreliable for non-US
buyers. My account has been verified, with confirmed address, and used a
lot for almost three years, but my address still shows as "Unconfirmed" in
the "Pay for Item" process (but it shows as "Confirmed" in my account
profile). Since this is my only complaint with PayPal, I'm overall very
satisfied with their service.

As a seller, I provide positive feedback as soon as the payment arrives, and
then wait for the buyer's opinion after getting the item.

Good luck, Jim
