Can't you get the adjustment needed by sliding the Arca lens plate in the 
receiver?
Sounds like you need a longer (Arca) plate on the lens mount to allow more 
adjustment.
I sure wouldn't want to add any more weight to my setup, but if that's the only 
way you can get the balance sought, you gotta do what you gotta do.
