Paul,

You might find it amusing but it is completely
and utterly pointless.

It is a great pity, because the members of this
List collectively hold a wealth of knowledge and
experience. Whenever I have asked specific
technical questions here I have been deeply
impressed by the quality of the replies, and I
have not hesitated to act on advice given.

A few weeks ago on here, the List owner was
bemoaning the difficulty he was having convincing
Pentax that this List was useful to the company
as a means of obtaining user feedback and
indications of user requirements for future
products. In the light of the latest flame war,
following closely on the heels of a seemingly
never-ending debate about religion, is it any
wonder Pentax doesn't take this List seriously?

What the List really needs is effective
moderation that would curtail childish nonsense
long before it gets to this stage. Until that
happens, Pentax would be wasting their time
listening to us.

Colin
