I'm in downeast Maine and there are no camera stores around here,
period. There are several in southern Maine that I like to deal with
but I often have to resort to mail ordering from the biggies. In
January 2005 I contacted Classic Camera in Biddeford Maine to inquire
about ordering an MZ-S through him. He said no way, his wholesale
price from Pentax would be more than Adorama's retail price online.
So, I took his advice and ordered it from Adorama.

MISTER Keppler makes a good point about buying a camera by mail order -

Without actually handling the camera you are really buying one blind.
