You ignoramus ... there are times when shooting stopped down that there's
no need to focus.  That is one of the reasons for shooting stopped down. 
In fact, a lot of Leica M shooters still shoot that way.  I certainly do. 
It's just a simple matter of knowing what the acceptable depth of field is
@ any given aperture with the focal length of the lens you're using.  Once
you understand such basics, you can shoot while moving, with no need to
even break stride in some instances.

I've posted numerous pics here shot in just that manner.  And before you
call me a liar, let tell you that there are people here who are reading
this thread of gone out shooting with me and seen me do it.
