I've shot it as high as 12,800, but it does lose most of its dark detail
up there. At 6400 ISO I've had good (and grainy) results when
processing in Microphen and Studional.
An important thing to remember when shooting fast black and white film
in a dingy bar or under similar conditions: cut your film speed in half
to compensate for the colour of the lights, because b&w film is less
sensitive to red than the rest of the spectrum, and most bars are lit by
tungsten light, which is very red. So, if you are shooting 3200 speed
film, set your ISO dial to 1600. If you're pushing it to 6400, set your
ISO dial to 3200.
