Try it and see. If it doesn't work, you'll get overexposed shots...which 
generally look ok. You'd have to compare the actual negs to make sure.

In TTL flash operation the camera actually sends a signal to the flash to 
turn it off when the flash meter determines that the flash has discharged 
enough light. In other words, the flash is on until the camera turns it off.

I'm saying that it's probable that the camera can't turn the flash off in 
time to avoid overexposure.

That's probably a good idea, I didn't try testing it that way. I guess I 
figured it would be too complicated for me in actual use.
