the trick there is that once the M42 lens reaches a certain
size ( around 300mm or larger ), you dont mount the
lens to the camera, you mount the camera to the lens
with the M42 screwmounting system. Its not as easy as
bayonet mounting but its much easier than trying to screw (rotate)
a large lens into a fixed positon M42 body. I have been
doing it that way for decades...
