Two DVD folders hold my backups - one at my desk at the office, and
one (containing duplicate discs) at home.

About every month or two - as I get 4.7 (or just under) gigs of
data. I try to make each backup contain whole months, rather than
splitting the data from one particular month across multiple discs.

Each DVD is also represented by a "disk image" (.DMG file in Mac
parlance) that I have on an external harddrive. It's quicker to
mount and access than the actual optical media.
