Both are close to great, but just not quite.  The first is a bit
better, but could be really great with just a little more DOF so the
upper bird were as sharp as the lower bird.

The second shot is hampered by less than nice bokeh and compete color
of the dry grasses - maybe selectively desaturating them a bit would
help.
