Amita,

I got one last year and loaded it up with 4 drives and
5 gigs of RAM. This is the first version with 2X
dual-core Xenon "Woodcrest" 3Ghz chips. I run CS2 and
I am pleased with the performance. I am able to open
300-500 Meg sized scans with little effort. Processing
is usually pretty quick. 

Your machine will have quad core chips. I would expect
the typical leap in performance with these. Also, if
you're going to run CS3, it may run a tad faster than
CS2.
