It's not as bad as the first G5 Power Macs. My 1.6GHz came with a whopping 256Mb, back in the day when a machine of that class really needed 1Gb or more. > I'd buy a MacBook Air for mobility communications use, not for photo > processing work. I agree with you entirely; I wouldn't be using the Air for photo processing as I only intend it to be used for email/web/iTunes. So 2Gb will be plenty and I'm quite happy to buy a USB DVD drive as the drive in my PowerMac doesn't like the latest media. I'll keep my current Power Mac as a workhorse. Leopard broke just about everything so I'll keep it on Tiger. I can quite happily put up with the limitations of the Air except for the glossy screen so I'm still leaning towards a 15" Macbook Pro. I was going to get one now as I saw they now have LED backlit displays. Little did I know that those came out about 6-7 months ago. So I'll probably wait for the next revision, which I expect to come out soon after the Air arrives in the stores :) - Dave -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
