It was a rhetorical question. I know what every button and setting on every camera I work with does. Needing to refer to a manual in the field poses an untenable distraction to me. Plus I don't want to carry the additional weight and bulk of an operating manual. Perhaps I simply recall how things work better than most of you old codgers.
