Looks like the K-x is a nice camera that would suit my friend's needs quite well. Thanks for the comments.
People's experiences with AA batteries is interesting. I do think that the chargers people use play a big part in how well the batteries last. I've had a lot less problems since I changed over to the La Crosse charger and started cycling my batteries through a complete discharge cycle every so often. I now only use AA's in my flashes and unless I'm going into a situation where I know every picture I take for a week will use flash I just take along some disposable alkaline AA's and leave the charger at home. I like the idea of having all my cameras and flashes run off one type of battery and not travelling with 4 battery chargers, but it's not likely to happen with each new camera coming out with a new battery type. And I'll admit that lithium ion batteries are more reliable than NiMH. I always carry a spare charged battery for my camera and have the charger back where I'm staying, but I always have a little fear of what happens if the charger dies. How hard will it be in 5 year's time to find a replacement charger for a K10D? -- Leon -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
