How long have they had a chance now to get to that point? Or perhaps reclaim some of the status they had a long time ago? How long have they had to catch up in the AF game? I for one have long given up on the notion that they'll wake up one day and say, "Hey, why don't we make good AF and become market leader or at least the hottest shizznit in the industry" I think they're making the best of their limited resources and doing a good and passionate job at that but I can't see them having enough resources to actually go anywhere near technological leadership in any single aspect but you have to give it to them that they have a good eye for what they can give to their inclined users in terms of sensible features such as Tav mode, 100% viewfinder coverage, weather sealing, AA battery tray for the grip and so on and so forth. And I pray that the money saved by getting rid of good service and QC goes to R&D and some marketing instead of shareholder value or Hoya corporate revenue contribution etc. My 1c, I need the other one for lunch Cheers Ecke -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
