Well, neither I nor any of my clients, or my brother (who's been using the OWC enclosures for years more than me) have had any problems to date. None of the ones I've managed are RAID units, however.

One or two have had a drive belly up, slid a replacement in and the unit was back in service in a day. Performance seems fine: these are all still photographers, not videographers who have different needs (my brother's work is realtime audio editing work on video masters so he needs a different solution for editing performance). Never noticed the loud fan myself ... they seem pretty quiet to me. -- Godfrey godfreydigiorgi.posterous.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
