I doubt that's an Adobe issue, more likely the fact that the hideous
Pentax software isn't DNG compliant, heck even their DSLR AVI files
have some weird bug.


If your camera came out after CS3, then CS2 Camera Raw doesn't support it. When CS3 came out Adobe stopped updating Camera Raw for CS2; when CS4 came out Adobe stopped updating Camera Raw for CS3. When CS5 comes out, Adobe will stop updating Camera Raw for CS4.

Adobe does not continue to update previous versions of Photoshop after the new version comes out. The new version *is* the update.

The DNG files produced by the current version of the Adobe stand alone converter work with any Photoshop version back, I think, to Photoshop 7.

As should Pentax's in camera DNG files.
