They do but the Pentax software can't read DNGs converted by the Adobe
DNG converter even if it's set for V2.4 compatibility.
I haven't used the Pentax software since Photoshop 7 & the *ist-D, so
excuse me if this is a dumb question.
Does the Pentax software offer DNG conversion?
If so, can your version of Photoshop read THEM?
I ask because the *ist-D could shoot RAW, JPEG & TIFF. If I remember
correctly, the Pentax software that came with the *ist-D could output as
RAW, JPEG & TIFF as well.
So it seems reasonable to me the Pentax software that comes with the
cameras that have DNG capability should also have the ability to output
DNG files.
Can you open the files that come out of the Pentax software with
Photoshop? Or I guess more to the point, can the Pentax software output
files you can open with your version of Photoshop?
That would be the crux of the matter wouldn't it?
