Guess what: the motor has already been replaced! That's what the lens
went in for last winter (I was incorrect in my initial email in stating it
went in last year. K10D went in the late winter), since it had been having
problems since the day I got it.
At least the repair should be under warranty then.
No guarantee that it got a "fixed" motor. My 60-250 went to Japan for
repair.
There is also no guarantee that what I believe I read on Forum is accurate.
