A couple months ago, someone on EBay was selling a Vivitar Series One 135/2.3 in screwmount. In his description, he stated that the lens had VMC multicoating. I wrote to him, "Are you sure? Only the very final batch of screwmount 135/2.3s had VMC. If the front of the lens doesn't say VMC, you'd better correct your description or your buyer may be angry and demand to return it." He never replied, never changed his description.
