The thing about language is that usage determines meaning, not the other way around. "Full-frame" is virtually universally used to mean 24 x 36 mm. Whenever I show Canon or Nikon users either my Pentax DSLR or my Sony DSLR, the first question they invariably ask (being generally unfamiliar with either) is "is it full-frame?" Tha answer I give is "no" for the Pentax and "yes" for the Sony and everyone understands. Communication is successfully achieved and language works. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
