I have one and used it quite a bit for a while. its a good lens. It
seemed to work on the istD better than this k10D as far as CA.
Smaller sensor ????

Dave

I have at least considered it.

I do keep an eye out for them, but they seem scarcer than hens teeth right now. KEH hasn't had one when I've checked them recently. Haven't checked in a couple of days, but I didn't see any offered last Friday.

I think I'd actually rather have one of the IF versions over the PZ version. How do opinions go comparing the 3.2-4.5 vs 4-5.6?

Not that it's really that important at the moment ... not only do I not have the money right now, there don't seem to be any available from anyone I'm willing to buy from. I don't do eBay.

My feelings about eBay are not like the FaceBook thing.

I have no aversion to eBay, I just know that I *don't know* what I'm doing. I could probably talk to my sister who uses eBay, tell her how much I'm willing to pay & get her to handle the bid for me.

AFAIK the sensor on the *ist-D and K10D are physically the same size. I would guess the sensor sites on the K10D have to be smaller and closer together in order to get the higher megapixel count from the same amount of real estate, but I don't have any scientific basis for explaining why that might cause a lens to exhibit more CA with the K10D.
