Who says it has to be a zoom?

Looks to me like it's modeled on a Leica range-finder and AFAIK the Leica are prized for their prime lenses. I don't know if anyone ever made a zoom for a Leica range finder. Google didn't show any.

From: "J.C. O'Connell"
using a zoom would ruin the performance of the lens
and the viewfinder

Just get a Fuki when it arrives, they get it:

I'm tempted.

The only thing holding me back (other than being broke as a convict
right now) is the hint in Miserere's blog that this is only the first
iteration and that the second iteration might be an interchangeable lens
version. That would be a killer!
