using a zoom would ruin the performance of the lens
and the viewfinder

I'm tempted.

The only thing holding me back (other than being broke as a convict
right now) is the hint in Miserere's blog that this is only the first
iteration and that the second iteration might be an interchangeable lens
version. That would be a killer!

But, there's also my brand loyalty to Pentax to consider.

I originally chose Pentax because I thought they gave me more value for
the money I spent, and despite my more than occasional gripes, I still
believe that's true.

Maybe not so true as in yesteryear but still true. I really want Pentax
to regain it's glorious position amongst the faithful.
