They don't - you might check their product lineup against the M Leica more carefully. Further, being innovative includes marketing, design, and the like, as well as pure product. CV has, by their "creativity" (is that more acceptable than innovative) breathed new life into the rangefinder camera, and has, to some degree, along with Konica, pushed leica to modernize the M camera, resulting in the "new and improved" Leica M7 that has just been released.
