Google can give interesting instructions at time.
If you ask for directions from Japan to China, step 48 can get a laugh.

I saw that one time trying to get directions from Newark Liberty
International Airport to Hong Kong International Airport. I though maybe
it would show the great circle route and give me the mileage.
Instead it gave me driving directions to Seattle & something like "get
in a canoe & paddle" out to Oahu, with road directions to the other side
of the island and back into the canoe for the trip onwards to Japan ...
Now it just gives me a "We could not calculate directions ..."
