John, There is a big Parkway arts & crafts center just on the north side of Asheville. We got a Parkway map there and the mileposts on it would be your friends. Unfortunately the 35 mph speed limit is not to friendly. It seemed to take forever to drive up from Ashville to GFM on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The first time we came to GFM, we did it in the fog! Not good for a flatland driver like me. If I can't see the road on the horizon, I have to slow way down. Check for one of those maps. Regards, Bob S.
