Another possibility is a clear surface coating (similar to auto clear coat)
was added over the white base. If one was acrylic and the other alkyd, this
type of color can result. I have seen everything from a barely noticeable
tint to a deep "bottle" green when this is done with architectural and some
industrial coatings. And it doesn't also become noticable until the coatings
have aged or been exposed to sunlight.
