Facebook is a good marketing tool. When it's used to "prey on teenagers" that's the fault of the merchant, not the medium. I use Facebook to promote my communications business, and it has brought me a lot of new work. I don't know of any restrictions that Facebook imposes in regard to using it to promote a product of service. I also find that it's somewhat valuable as a social forum. I've had careers and have made friends in a number of different cities. I have been reunited with a number of old friends through Facebook. I count that as a plus.
