They did say "made to order". Tells me that it would take practically nothing 
to pull a unit's body off the assembly line and send it through the paint shop 
for a day. One would have to think that it would need a conversion coat, 2 
coats of the red, and one or 2 clear coats to look like the depth and color in 
the photo.

It's only one part of the camera that gets the paint.

Having shot two Porsches in lacquer 30 years ago, and watch the paint chip off 
when torsional forces tweaked the panels, or placing a tool on it with less 
than a prayer, I don't think I'd buy one, to use. Maybe to put in the display 
case. They will probably send a unit to each of their high end camera stores 
around the world, and see what happens.

"Only in Japan" says there will be lots of sales through Japanese dealers to 
collectors all over the world. Who will have to ask for or pay for an 
International Warranty, invalid in the USA.
