Short entertaining story of the first manned lunar landing. I remember
watching it live when I was 8 years old. My Dad telling the kids to
sit down and be quiet because this was important.

It simply amazes me that 1) the original video tapes were lost and 2)
Buzz Aldrin did not take the camera and get an image of Neil Armstrong
on the lunar surface. All the still image photography was done by Neil
Armstrong of Buzz Aldrin.


I must be the only person on the planet who missed it.

I was in basic training having been called up for National Service. We spent the day doing drill or something equally banal. The platoon sergeant told us at the end of the day that "they landed safely". I'm still bitter about it.
