Try more battery power (2nd battery in grip) or a fresh charge all around.
Mine gets a bit wonky when the battery is low.
It's a fooler because it's related to the immediate drain of current.
The battery is down at 1 bar, but returns to 2 or 3 bars when if I
shut the camera off.
