I'm more into upgrading the photographer, rather than the equipment at
present. I did get a Lensbaby Composer last year (I think they have replaced
it with a Composer Pro), in part because it was the first time I saw one on
eBay for a Pentax mount, and because I thought I'd just put the very cheap
opening bid on it. Much to my surprise - and to that of the disgruntled
seller who should have put a reserve on it - that was the only bid it got.

I'm fairly certain I could produce a very similar effect to this in PS
Elements if I really tried, although in part I still want to get as much as
I can in camera at the time. I know they do a range of lenses now, but the
prices new are the sort of money I'd prefer spent on real glass, so even as
an owner I feel they aren't the real deal.

I'm sure a really serious photographer could get a lot out of them (for a
while), but say spending the money on a normal wide angle lens instead, the
uses would be endless. Let's just say I'm happy with my purchase, but only
because it was about a quarter of the new price for a boxed mint example. I
have come to the conclusion the some effects are done better in software,
and some of the products from Topaz Labs have caught my eye.
