I've never understood the appeal of the "Lensbaby" line.. Isn't it just a way to get "Instamatic" quality shots from your multi-thousand dollar digital setup? What is the appeal? -Charles -- Charles Robinson
Some years ago when I was more deeply into Holga's and other junky cameras I bought the original Lensbaby muse and later the control-freak version of the muse for the K mount. I also picked up a control-freak version for the 6x7. I have to say that I have hardly ever used them, I was hoping to replicate the experience of the Holga but it did not wok out that way. I also did not appreciate that the appeal of a Holga is not only the crappy lens, but also the complete lack of controls (one shutter speed, two aperture settings), etc. I do still pick up the Helga now and again.
The K Mount muses were nicer on a full 35mm frame, on the APS-C frame the vignetting and mushy edges get cut off and the image loses its punch. I don't think I have shot more than two rolls of 120 film with the 6x7 version.
