My doctor chose the posterior rather than anterior approach. It's a slightly
longer wound, but as he put it when we discussed the procedure, "I pick the
approach depending upon the individual patient, the extent of the damage I'm
repairing, etc. The differences in healing are very small in an absolute sense,
and using the wrong approach for a specific patient will cost more in recovery
and discomfort regardless of whether it was anterior or posterior." He's good
and did a terrific job: I lost very little blood and have had no significant
issues, have not suffered much discomfort at all. Healing is proceeding on
schedule.

CameraQuest.com has the Voigtländer viewfinders, as do other retailers. Leica
and Zeiss also make excellent optical viewfinders as well. There are lots of
others, some good, some pretty chintzy. Many of the Voigtländers are
discontinued, so Ebay is another source. I have viewfinders for 75, 50, 40, 35,
28, 25, and 21 mm FoV, collected over the past decade and a half. They're not
cheap, but I've found them to be very useful in many situations with various
different cameras.
