My right hip has been disintegrating due to osteoarthritis for at least the
past twenty-eight years. It was okay until about two years ago, and then
started degrading at an accelerated, and accelerating, rate.

On October 12, I had a total hip replacement procedure performed. Walking about
now, even just waiting for the wound and tissues to heal, is the first time I'm
able to walk without pain since at least five years ago. This is going to be
great! I'm very excited by it.

:-)

Yes, I wanted a better eye-level framing implementation and took the cue from
my Leica X, which I use almost exclusively with an optical finder. The LCD is
excellent on both cameras for when you want precise framing and focusing, but
it just doesn't work well (for me) with standard eye-level framing.

The K-01 really is a very nice camera. It has a solid, quality feel and is very
responsive; the compactness is great too. The buffer is thin, but it's not
really designed as a fast, sequence capture kind of camera anyway. It feels a
lot like my Berning Robot II, in fact.
