On 23/3/20, Stanley Halpin, discombobulated, unleashed:

>I've been pretty cautious about going out, about being in contact with
>others. But today the governor of our state issued a strong Stay At Home
>order effective through April 13. Still ok to go out for food and meds
>but otherwise Stay Home.

Pretty much the advice here, although in the next hour or so I think they are
going to announce some very strict new rules in London as people are still
packing themselves into Tube trains, and lots being silly at the weekend by
congregating in numbers at popular beauty spots etc. Some people still take it
all very lightly, and it seems legislation will be needed to curb the flouters.

We've been pretty much at home for the duration, lucky to live on the edge of a
village so we can walk out the door and exercise up the lane. I've got to go to
Chatham in Kent tomorrow to help move my boat to a nearby marina ready for
lifting out on Wednesday onto a truck so she can be moved overland to Hayling
Island near Portsmouth - her new home.

The motorways are empty at the moment (relatively speaking!) so the trip will
be easy. Fueled up so no need to stop at all over the 2 hour drive, and only
seeing 2 people at the marina, the broker and a local skipper, and we'll all be
a fathom apart ;-)
