I have a CRIS adapter in my Canonet, and it's worth it to me because the sole reason I choose the Canonet over the other rangefinders I own is that it HAS a meter. A rangefinder is a nice spontaneous-use kind of camera, and I found the handheld meter route a bit trying once I sampled the pleasures of built-in metering.
