Funny that's what the Spotmatic F metering circuit was supposedly designed
to do.  If you don't trust it you don't have to use 1.5 volt power supplies in
your Spot F, use Wein cells or buy one of these $30.00 adapters.  I'm sure
that the respective manufacturers will appreciate the business.  However
from my perspective it seems like a waste of money that I could spend on
film and processing, or for that matter beer, since in the Spotmatic F those
solutions aren't necessary.  I make no claims for other equipment that use
mercury cells.
