Those are targeted by Obama as recently was confirmed in public:

. FDL doesn't mention food stamps, but the therein linked document lists
it (as nutrition assistance --food stamps are named the "Supplemental
Nutritional Assistance Program" [SNAP], now), among other jewels of
liberal policy achievement all on the chopping block.
Carrol is right about what will happen if people aren't awoken (in a
good way). Chris Hedges (among others, such as Greenwald) is right about
the "liberal class". Deal or no deal, the writing is on the wall. Obama
and the Democratic leadership want these programs cut. There is elite
consensus (if not unanimity) on this.

Very unlikely.
Under the automatic sequestration (if there is no deal), by the way,
Medicaid and food stamps are exempt. They could still get dinged later
on. The GOP wants to turn Medicaid into a block grant, something the
White House has explicitly declared itself against, for whatever
that's worth.
But there will be a deal before Jan 1, if for nothing else to postpone
any dramatic action of any sort.

It is the poor who are utterly powerless and it is likely they,
not the "middle class" who will likely be targeted.(Medicaid, food
stamps, unemployment insurance, welfare, etc).
