Wow, this list is getting deeply technical. :-)

What it does provide, however, is some insight
into underlying motivations and use cases.

Pervasive surveillance exists in every nation.
It has existed since the first bit went over a
transport path.   The value of pervasive surveillance
for commercial and governmental purposes is
scaling dramatically worldwide.  It's value is
being constantly demonstrated, and end users
seem to appreciate it.  It is required my multiple
legal and regulatory mandates.

To raise another Scott McNealy metaphor -
what is occurring here is like someone going
down to the Amazon river near its mouth,
dipping one's hand into the water, and shouting
stop.  Have fun at your session.
