Hi Tony
Welcome to PLUG.
The next meeting is actually tonight at around 8pm. It is held at the
business premises of one of the members, Mark Rogers, who runs More
Solutions out of Belgic Square. I believe it is 6A, Mark will put you
right if I have got that wrong !
Anyway, to get there head for the eastern industry area from the city
centre and then find Padholme Rd East which has a McDonalds on one
corner and a Homebase store on the other. With McDonalds on your left,
carry on up the road for about half a mile and you will pass a petrol
station on the left. Just after that, on the right you will see a gated
yard, which is Belgic Square. Marks unit is halfway across the yard on
the left.
If you arrive and find the gates closed, just give a loud honk or two
and you will be let in. If the horn doesn't raise us, then ring More
Solutions (can't find the number at the moment but I am sure Mark will
let you know it) before tonight.
As for joining an active LUG, well, things have been a bit quiet lately
but we are trying to remedy that. Attracting new members obviously helps
out no end, so bear with us if things seem a bit quiet at first. I am
sure things will pick up.
Once again, welcome aboard. Hope to meet you later (work commitments
allowing !)

Hi everyone,
I am sorry but I am unable to make this next meeting.
Good evening everyone,
As a newcomer, could anyone tell me where and when the next meeting will
be? It would be nice to see a more active LUG then the one in Dublin (I
just moved).
2. Dual boot Installing SUSE 10.1 ?? or even Ubuntu 6.06 on a Win machine
I can help you with a Gentoo dual-boot using LILO. It has been a while
since I ran windows myself, but I wrote a script that does most of the
work.
5. Explanation of the Linux boot sequence and how to exploit that
That is a bit generic, what parts of the boot sequence are you
interested in?
Regards,
Tony V.
P.S. I'll do a proper introduction if anyone is interested. I'm a Gentoo
Linux developer, and I work for the London Internet Exchange.
