looking at the link provided there a re several solutions that seem to work for different people, unfortunately i dont use F-Spot either, so i cant comment, but i'll just paste in the last few posts on that link that show all the different resolutions...
Hi. Thanks all for replying. I managed to resolve the issue by deleting the F-Spot file in the hidden program directory in my home folder. Finally, it's working flawlessly--and now I'm torn between F-Spot and Google Picasa. Hope others having an issue have resolved theirs. lix <https://bugs.launchpad.net/%7Elix-lix> said on 2007-04-20: (permalink) <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/f-spot/+bug/95318/comments/14> True. rm -rf ~/.gnome2/f-spot solved it for me too. The developers should take a look why the config file is causing trouble. julenissen <https://bugs.launchpad.net/%7Edev-falk-petersen> said on 2007-05-02: (permalink) <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/f-spot/+bug/95318/comments/16> i got the same error when the permissions of ~/.gnome2/f-spot where wrong. did you check the permissions before you deletet the database?
