I don't think thats a problem actually it sounds like a clever idea, still,
its very "unlike" Linux not to say "Hey! We figured you might want the
original so what you are actually editting is a copy OF the original...hope
you don't mind." Or ask you if that's what you want to do?

Are you really sure you need to leave that moustache on your wife in that
wedding photo? (changes cannot be undone) Apply changes [Y/n] ?

BUT... if you do not, when you apply changes via Edit Photo, I tried it
with the "Convert to Black and white" there is no going back, no undo,

HANG ON!   It actually creates a filename(modified).jpg  It seems to do
this without telling me!  DOH!  This is more of a window's trick
me-thinks!  Doing things without my knowledge or consent!
