A bit belated but thanks all - I got F-spot to work! Now have to work
out if I like it enough to use!!
And her is the monthly question? Is meeting on - if so where??!

Hi. Thanks all for replying. I managed to resolve the issue by deleting
the F-Spot file in the hidden program directory in my home folder.
Finally, it's working flawlessly--and now I'm torn between F-Spot and
Google Picasa. Hope others having an issue have resolved theirs.

this shouldn't be necessary. The developers should take a look why the
config file is causing trouble.

i got the same error when the permissions of ~/.gnome2/f-spot where
wrong. did you check the permissions before you deletet the database?
