My posting was not too clear. My scenario about the VV-XVI with the upside down decal way hypothetical. I posted a maroon Gem for sale a couple of weeks ago. Several of the parties interested in the machine questioned whether it was worth more or less because both the horn and machine have original maroon over original black paint. I always thought the Gem should be worth a little more because of the abnormality. My posting about the upside down decal was an attempt to find out how other collectors felt about such abnormalities. Bob's Vernis Martin with the upside down decal is such a fabulous example of a machine that survived in spite of a factory mistake. Thanks & Happy Collecting, Jerry B.
