Having seen at least 3 maroon horns that are painted over black that I am
100% sure are original I have no doubt they are for real. In fact, the
maroon horns with black paint underneath look better as the maroon paint
remains much more intact than on the horns with the maroon paint directly on
the metal. The decals are correct and the paint is obviously original. I
have also seen two maroon gem bodies painted the same way. I'm convinced
they are more rare than the normal maroon gems and are a good thing to have
in a collection. They look fantastic and original in every respect.
