hey you
sorry to hear all this at such a young age too........I am 21 and
have already had a surgery. I had blurry vision and fuzziness in the head
and really couldn't concentrate much, but I never had any headaches........I
also was on dostinex and I gained weight too.but only 10 pounds.........and it
helped shrink my tumor. however it didn't help enough to where I didn't
have to have the surgery. I have little growth hormones too, but I always
will. if you have any questions just ask me......I've been through the
whole 9 yards.......hope everything goes well...Katie

I found out a week ago that I have a microprolactinoma of
about .5 cm. I've been having very severe headaches that
can only be treated with Vicadin since right before
Christmas and was sent in for an MRI. I was put on
Dostinex a week ago, and am wondering how long it will take
before the headaches go away. Did anybody else have vision
problems associated with the tumor? I have strange dizzy
sensations and it's difficult for my eyes to focus. I'm
going to an opthamologist but can't get in for a month.
Also, does anybody know if a prolactinoma is associated with
weight gain? I've gained 40 pounds in the last year, which
is strange for me. Are there any side affects of Dostinex
I should know about? This is all very new to me and I'm
afraid my doctor may not be telling me everything. I'm 18
and have not fully gone through puberty. Will this happen
once the Dostinex begins working? Also, I have very low
growth hormones and am wondering if Dostinex will help
that. Any information anyone has would be great.
